Vergaat de wereld straks in vuur
of juist in ijs?
Ik smaakte lust en avontuur,
voel dus voor ondergang door vuur.
Maar is ’t met doemdag tweemaal prijs,
dan zegt me wat ik weet van van haat
dat ook vernietiging door ijs
fantastisch gaat,
haar nut bewijst.
